I live in Mexico City and I love Latin music and culture. There are certain words, phrases and poetry in Spanish that most English translations just don't capture. What's worse than trying to understand a song in another language, and then having the translation fall flat and not make sense? As a writer, it was never in my plan to offer these translations into English. But I hope that with my attention to language, you can feel what the song means and what the artist is trying to say.
